I feel like freedom has to do with a person's choices and actions. If it's in that case, it can both be given and taken away. For example in school. I your doing good in your classes, you should be Given more freedom. But if your not doing good, then the certain freedom you have it should be taken away from you. The same thing applies for when your at home. If your behaving and doing chores your parents should give you more freedom. But if you abuse that freedom it should be taken away. But the situation can be different in other cases. Like if someone is disrespecting you verbally, you should be able to tell them anything you want, which is the freedom of speech. Or protesting, you have your freedom for that and you don't need anyone's permission to do that.
